Map to Salon

From Monroeville:

Take the Parkway West (376) to the Edgewood/Swissvale exit.  At the bottom of the exit, make a right at the light onto Braddock Ave.  At your second light, make a left onto Forbes Ave.  Make a right at your 3rd light onto Shady Ave. (there's a Blockbuster Video on the left and a Boston Market on the right).  At your 3rd light, make a left onto Fifth Ave.  At your third light, make a right onto S. Negley Ave.  Make a left at the first light onto Walnut Street.  The Destefino Complex is 1-and-a-half blocks up, on your right.

From Downtown/Parkway East:

Take Forbes Avenue exit off of the Parkway, or take Forbes Avenue out of Downtown. Go through University of Pittsburgh campus (multiple lights), until the Cathedral of Learning is on your left (hard to miss-it looks like a giant church).  Make your first left after the Cathedral onto Bellefield (there's a light).  Make a right at your first light onto Fifth Avenue.  Go through about 6 - 7 lights. Make at left at the light for S. Aiken Ave.  Make a right at your first light onto Walnut Street.  We are four blocks down on the left

From Route 28/Fox Chapel

Take the Highland Park bridge and the exit for Washington Boulevard (very sharp turn).  After you come off the exit, make a right at your first light onto Washington Blvd.  After a few lights (5-6), you will cross Penn Avenue, at which point Washington Blvd. becomes Fifth Ave.  Your 5th light after Penn Avenue is S. Negley - make a right onto S. Negley.  Make a left at your first light onto Walnut Street.  We are 1-and-a-half blocks up on the right.

PARKING:

1. There are metered lots behind the buildings on our side of the street.  They cost 25 cents for 15 minutes.  There are also meters along various side streets.

2. There is a parking garage on Copeland St., which is halfway between Negley and Aiken off Walnut Street.  It has an hourly rate.

3.  There is free parkling along the residential streets that run parallel to Walnut, but there is a two-hour maximum limit between 11am and 6pm weekdays (Saturdays noon to 6pm).

*Please note that Walnut Street is a busy shopping district.  It is a great place to spend the day shopping and eating, but parking can be  difficult, especially on weekends and in the summer.  We ask that you keep this in mind when planning your trip.
